Lowell Elm

Tree that was "transplanted from Elmwood the Estate of James Russell Lowell by Dr. and Mrs. E. A. Bryan 1893." The tablet beneath the tree was "placed by Mortar Board 1930." Quotations indicate that text is from plaque.

6. Thompson Hall The architecturally distinguished Thompson Hall, originally the administration building, is one of Washington State University’s most recognizable landmarks. Completed in 1895, just three years after the establishment of the college, it is also the oldest surviving building on campus. It is a rare promotional publication or university marketing brochure that fails to include some image of the building.
