Washington State University Buildings and Landscapes

Archaeology

In 1984–1986, several portions of campus were excavated as part of the Washington State University Centennial Project. The campus has several state site numbers including Stevens Hall (45WT137), the Beef Cattle Barn (45WT149) (now the Lewis Alumni Centre after heavy remodeling), Stimson Hall (45WT148), and Ferry Hall attic (45WT109). These locations were part of the main focus of the Centennial Digs (except for Ferry Hall), but also included excavations at Thompson Hall and an old Firehouse that was nearby College Hall and Todd Hall.
