Students in the Columbia River Studies course at Stevenson High School will strive to achieve the following:

  • A deep, broad understanding of a place.
  • The ability to analyze the ecological health of a stream using chemical, biological, and physical indicators.
  • A greater appreciation for the Columbia River by studying its natural and human history.
  • The ability to describe the life cycle and habitat of salmon.
  • The ability to collect and analyze data using technology and field observation techniques.
  • The ability to communicate better through writing, speaking, and technology.
  • The ability to better find and use a variety of information.
