The staff for the first year of the class consisted of an interdisciplinary team of four teachers from Stevenson High School, Skamania County, Washington.

Carol Collins–physics, chemistry, geology, technology

Marianne Keddington-Lang–writing, research, literature, history

Don McAndie–biology, forestry, field studies

Pam McAndie–mathematics, physics, technology

Two teachers, Marianne Keddington-Lang and Pam McAndie, spent every day with students and were responsible for most of the day-to-day planning and grading. They relied on science teachers Carol Collins and Don McAndie to help out on field trips and in-class experiments. The class is now in its third year, with Pam McAndie being the lead teacher and having day-to-day responsibility for curriculum.
