President’s Views

As I write this article we are on strike.
Why are we on strike? The main reason is, Crown Zellerback does not seem to believe their employees deserve the same wages and fringe benefits as employees of the other companies.
After several companies established a pattern I felt that Crown Zellerbach would call us back and at least meet this pattern. I guess a pattern to Crown Zellerbach is when someone settles very low and it lookss as if Crown might save a few dollars. One this is sure, we don’t intend to settle for anything less than the established pattern. Your voice ans support will have us meet or surpass this pattern.
